Inside of the inn it seemed everyone was human. We walked up to the front and asked the owner for our rooms. She handed us our keys.
"That castle is amazing. Could you tell us who lives there? We aren't exactly from around here." I asked her.
"Follow me." She told us. She took us down the hallway into a small sitting area outside of our rooms. We all sat down and waited for her to speak. I hoped I hadn't made a mistake by bringing it up.
"The castle you speak of provides a home to the rulers of this planet. Currently, a very evil man is in charge, his name is Ozai. The half humans you see on this planet are of his creation. No one can escape the evil fate once he picks he or she for his army. His goal is to turn the entire population of our planet into his robot creations. He tells us how wonderful it is, to be faster, stronger, tougher. But, it takes away their humanity. They lose their compassion, they lose who they really are. He wants our planet to be advanced, over run with technology and science without emotions getting in the way. They kill without a second thought. Ozai sends his creations to other planets. They go and take whatever they think is useful, or whomever they think is useful. If you resist them, they kill."
"But, that's horrible! How could he have taken over like that?" I asked her.
"Before Ozai came to power a very caring woman ruled our planet. Ozai was her assistant, her best friend. Little did she know he was truly evil at heart. Everyone loved her. She took care of her planet and her people. He tricked her and became very close with her, her compassion was her downfall. One horrible night Ozai killed all of her guards and council. He broke into her room and held a knife to her throat. He told her he would kill her and all her family if she did not give her title to him. She obeyed. He has kept it very well hid, few people can tell you this true story. The only way to stop him is to take his life." She told us.
No one could say anything.
"Well then, it seems I may have said too much. I will leave you to your rooms now. Do not worry, I can ensure you will be safe here."
